Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21 in 1983. She is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. She was born in Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of school after her parents split up to move in Los Angeles to live with her mother. Even though she had financial difficulties, her 2001 debut was acting as Rachel's Room's main character. Her portrayal as Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the TV movie Murder in Greenwich in 2002, earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. She's the daughter of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), she is a bit more senior in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began as a young teenager with small parts in a few films directed by her father. She also worked with her brother in the 2001 cult movie Donnie Darko. Then she appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003).
